Investment Banking Associate

ROLE OVERVIEWThe Associate will act as the near-shore extension of the client’s origination team. The role includes project coordination, quality oversight, real-time collaboration, and client-facing engagement. This hybrid model enables enhanced efficiency, reduced communication loops, and smoother project executionDeal origination and research oversightOversee target identification, company profiling, and sector research executed by the offshore teamReview outputs from databases such as Capital IQ, SourceScrub, Grata, Pitchbook etc.Conduct refined screening and validation of potential targetsLead quality checks and ensure high-quality deliverablesClient and stakeholder coordinationServe as the day-to-day coordination point between the client and offshore teamTranslate client priorities into actionable steps and timelinesParticipate in client calls to discuss findings and progressProject and workflow managementManage project timelines, work allocation, and structured workflowsTrack progress, document updates, and ensure consistent communicationIdentify process gaps and implement improvementsOutreach and client-facing activitiesSupport outreach campaigns and target engagement initiativesAssist with drafting communication material for outreachEngage with target companies to validate interestCollaboration and team leadershipGuide and mentor offshore analystsTrain team members on client preferences and research methodologiesFoster a culture of problem-solving and continuous improvementREQUIREMENTS4–7 years of work experience in investment banking, deal sourcing, private equity research, corporate development, or consultingStrong knowledge of investment banking databasesStrong proficiency in financial research, market mapping, competitive landscaping, and target screeningDemonstrated ability to manage multi-step projects with distributed teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishStrong client-facing presence with the ability to independently join client callsEDUCATION QUALIFICATIONGraduate In Finance/CommerceMBA Finance / CFA level 1+
