Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Investments Data team. This role will be based in Melbourne (Docklands) or Sydney (Barangaroo). This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.We will count on you to:Provide analysis and data support for the Investment Data management project implementation and ongoing operational framework.Manage and analyse Investment Data feeds, liaise with internal and external data providers, and offer subject matter expertise across a wide range of Investment Data types and asset classes.Collaborate with the Change Management team and stakeholders to support daily Investment Data activities and platform implementation.Contribute to project goals including implementation, testing, and cross-team initiatives to deliver superior investment outcomes.Develop and implement best practices for data governance, process mapping, data dictionaries, and procedures to support Mercer Pacific’s Investment Data management capabilities.Day to day operational BAU activities and adhoc data request/queriesWhat you need to have:Degree-level qualification in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related analytical discipline.Experience in Investment data analysis at a Multi Asset Class Investment Manager or Superannuation Fund.Solid understanding of Investment, Custody, and Financial Market Data, Instruments, and Data Feeds.Strong knowledge of investment markets, asset classes, and instrument types.Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, relational databases, and analytical/reporting systems.Experience with system implementation and testing activities.Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate confidently with investment professionals and senior stakeholders.Demonstrated teamwork, goal orientation, good judgment, and collaborative work style.What makes you stand out:Experience in Facset, StateStreet Alpha, DataLakeExposure to Investment Data management and portfolio management systems.Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.A positive attitude with a willingness to develop and learn continuously.Why join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work, and supportive leaders.We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients, and communities.Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.Mercer, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is a global leader in helping clients realize their investment objectives, shape the future of work and enhance health and retirement outcomes for their people.
