Overview:Our client is a global private equity investor with more than $50 billion in assets under management and a strong presence across Europe and North America. The European LBO team is an active investor in the mid-market, focusing on buyouts and growth-oriented investments across sectors such as business services, healthcare, industrials, and consumer. With a proven track record of driving value creation through operational improvement, strategic repositioning, and bolt-on acquisitions, the firm has established itself as a trusted partner for entrepreneurs and management teams.The Hamburg office plays a central role in executing the European LBO strategy, sourcing new transactions in the DACH region and supporting portfolio companies with transformation initiatives. Typical equity ticket sizes range from €50 million to €250 million, with flexibility to pursue both control buyouts and select growth transactions. The team is now seeking to expand with the hire of a Investment Manager.Key Responsibilities:Deal origination and evaluation: support sourcing and screening of mid-market buyout opportunities across the DACH region and Europe.Due diligence and execution: lead financial modelling, valuations, industry research, and transaction structuring; coordinate workstreams across advisors and internal teamsPortfolio management: actively support value creation initiatives, including operational improvement projects, M&A execution, and strategic repositioning of portfolio companiesTeam collaboration: work closely with senior professionals on both new transactions and portfolio oversight, contributing to the broader growth of the European LBO platformCandidate Requirements:3–5 years of professional experience, ideally from top-tier management consulting firms, PE practice.Proven analytical and execution skills, with strong financial modelling and valuation capabilitiesExperience working on complex transactions with exposure to due diligence and deal processesEntrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentNative or fluent German, combined with professional-level English; additional European languages a plusOpportunity:Join a global private equity platform with significant capital to deploy in the European mid-marketExposure to high-impact transactions with equity tickets in the €50–250 million rangeHands-on involvement across the full investment cycle, from origination to portfolio value creationCareer progression within a growing European team backed by a global organisation
