Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Investment & Operations Associate with 8–10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing and driving projects predominantly in the real estate, oil and gas, and energy sectors with multiple stakeholders (legal, finance, accounting, regulatory). You will work directly alongside partners to deliver value.The main objective of this role is to bring real and sustained value to the firm and portfolio companies, our Agri-business industry, Marine, Real estate arm, and Oil and Gas arm.As an associate, you will gain significant exposure to all aspects of a private company within a small, dedicated team. The role necessitates:A strong sense of self-motivationA bias to actionQuantitative analysis skillsStakeholder managementKey ResponsibilitiesResearch and AnalysisConduct market research and industry analysis to identify potential investment opportunities.Analyse potential investment sectors and assess their viability and alignment with the family’s goals.Evaluate the financial performance of existing assets and provide recommendations for improvement.Investment Analysis & ExecutionConduct technical and commercial analysis of opportunities within the energy (oil and gas) sector, including field economics, commodity price forecasting, and regulatory frameworks.Build detailed financial models and decision-making models from scratch to evaluate investment viability and returns.Prepare comprehensive investment committee memorandums and presentations, articulating thesis, risks, and opportunities.Support partners in deal execution, coordinating with legal counsel, advisors, and counterparties.Portfolio Operations & Project ManagementDrive value-creation projects within existing portfolio companies by coordinating with contractors, accountants, lawyers, and management teams.Support the firm’s expansion into the energy sector or other sectors by engaging with relevant stakeholders, including technical partners, regulators, and joint venture partners.Provide ongoing analysis of portfolio company performance, track KPIs, and prepare materials for board meetings.Lead incubation projects for new business lines, working with stakeholders across government, legal, accounting, and HR to build new businesses from the ground up.Provide strategic support to partners, including organising meetings, synthesising call notes, and tracking action items.Partner CollaborationEstablish relationships with investment partners, advisors, and relevant stakeholders.Participate in meetings and discussions to evaluate potential collaborations and joint ventures.Negotiate terms and agreements to secure favourable outcomes for the family office.Other Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain the deal documentation process.Organise meetings and summarise call notes.Assist employees with first-level AV and conference call setup.Minimum RequirementsEducation: Minimum of a second-class upper Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any infrastructure-related field.Experience: 8–10 years of operations experience in a similar role.Mindset:A strong passion for investing, building, and operating businessesA strong sense of urgency and self-motivation to work autonomouslyExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsLimitless curiosity about business models and understanding of how companies make moneyBenefitsSalary: ₦1m – 1.5m gross, monthly (contract option available too)
