IT Manager(Almaty)

We’re seeking an experienced, positive driven, entrepreneurial IT manager who can join us on this journey of full digitalization and modernization of Almaty International Airport. IT Manager who will be responsible for overseeing, handling, and directing the day-to-day operations and activities, who can demonstrate high level of confirmed decision-making, initiative and dedication towards changes. In this proactive role, he/she will analyze our current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions, upgrades and new projects, that will lead toward. Our ideal candidate also has extensive knowledge of network and systems maintenance, experience managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. The ideal candidate will not be afraid to question the status quo, challenge conventional ideas, and explore creative solutions that drive real impact.Key Responsibilities:• Work closely with the Director of IT in managing a team of 60+ professionals across aviation systems, ULV technologies, IT infrastructure, and business process optimization. • Assist in developing and executing critical IT and digital transformation projects in the aviation sector. • Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring. • Analyze and optimize business processes using data-driven and creative approaches. • Support project management activities from design to implementation. • Facilitate communication and collaboration with top airport management and corporate headquarters. • Represent the IT department in meetings with external vendors and partners; support contract negotiations. • Ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards and ISO 27001, as well as local cybersecurity legislation (Kazakhstan compliance). • Promote team harmony and organizational agility through empathetic and effective people management.Candidate Profile:• Education: University degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline. Project Management certification is a strong advantage. • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or related fields. Experience in leadership, team coordination, or high-level project work preferred.
