Job DescriptionDivision: Group Business Solutions (GBS)The rolePlease note that this is a permanent position, and we do not offer freelance/contract arrangement for the role.The GBS Group ESA services tribe manages solutions used by our internal corporate teams such as Finance, HR, Risk, Audit, Compliance and Legal. The applications in scope are mostly packaged solutions from external vendors and support from tens to thousands of users.We are looking for an Epic Delivery Owner (EDO, or IT project manager) to assist us to lead and manage several initiatives (new packages/ERP implementation, upgrade of existing packages/infrastructure, enhancements to existing applications...). The applications may be SaaS, Cloud hosted or hosted on premise.The role requires a mix of team leadership skills, knowledge of industry and standard project management methodology. A sound understanding of the business strategy, the technical challenges and dependencies versus other initiatives will be a key success factor.This is an opportunity to be in the driving seat of the modernization of our IT corporate support applications, playing a key role in driving the enhancement and the implementation of solutions applying new technologies and highest security and availability standards to deliver customer-focused service enhancements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead one or multiple Epics/Projects of varying complexity involving teams across different locations, divisions & entities, including third-party suppliers, and multiple disciplines in the IT functionThanks to a clear understanding of the solutions, their impact and dependencies to the general ecosystem and other initiatives in the roadmap, proactively identify risks, define, drive and track the required actions to mitigate them or resolve issues, demonstrating both business and technical partners to ensure that the projects goals and requirements are metDevelop and maintain detailed project plans and forecasts, including resource allocation, costs, and dependencies, ensuring that the team’s overall resources are used effectively to meet the projects objectives and deadlines, supervising progress and adherence with the baselined planHandle change control processes. Where required, challenge and negotiate changes in project specifications or scope with the project business and IT partners, using the support of business or technical domain expertsRegularly report progress at all levels of the organization, including senior management, partners and sponsor/business collaborators.Ensure Epics/projects adhere to Euroclear’s internal standards and methodologies.Lead improvement initiatives and acting as the primary connection between project sponsors/clients and IT services.Skills And CompetenciesSolid project management skillsAbility to quickly grasp impacts and dependencies when discussing with both business and technical stakeholders and collaborators and to keep an eye on the bigger picture, to dive into the details only where requiredDemonstrated communication skills across all levels of the organization and capacity to quickly grasp, summarize and simply present complex informationEffective negotiation, conflict management and influencing skills, assertiveness and ability to lead challenging internal and external collaboratorsAble to operate with limited support of his/her management line, organized and focus, able to remain positive in the face of challenge or under pressureAt ease in a fast-changing environment, flexible and able to swiftly reprioritize tasks, a practical leader capable of handling various subjects simultaneously Proven experience in leading multi squads/locations projects including outsourcing partners, is preferred.
