Department: OperationsLocation: APAC-Japan-TokyoDescriptionRole summaryThe iTero Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting and also providing guidelines and systems that assist business and team members to work towards achieving operational goals for iTero business in Japan. This position will sustain the reliable operation / logistic foundation to customers.By managing day-to-day activities, analyzing statistics, preparing regular performance reports, the iTero Operations Specialist has to liaise with other team members, interacting with managers of different areas of the Align organization, presenting findings to all stakeholders and higher management as well as training and leading peers.To be successful in the role, the incumbent is likely to enjoy a dynamic, fast paced mid-size international business environment and to fully embrace Align’s culture of: “Entrepreneurship, authentic and hands-on leadership, flawless execution and a strong passion for winning”. This position requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to play an active role to create cross group collaboration and synergies with internal and external stakeholders.Role expectationsEnsuring the business operates within the company's mission statement.Possess comprehensive knowledge of company processes, keep work instructions up to date and ensure team members are informed.Conduct As-Is analysis (VSM, time/cost studies, VOC) to identify pain pointsData processing activities such as scanner contracts, fulfilments, replacements, and RMAs, credits and rebills.Establish KPIs and performance metrics that lead to effective business visibility & decision makingDrive the operational excellence by working closely with domestic stakeholders to identify the opportunities to optimize the processes and systems. This requires basic IT knowledge especially for software (SFDC/SAP and other ERP, BI tools, Apps etc), and also requires skills for Process Engineering.Drive improvement initiatives to optimize operations and processes with objectives of (a) reducing cost, (b) shortening lead-time, and (c) enhancing customer experience (d) process optimizationMonitor and manage freight and logistics/warehouse partners’ performance for shipping, warehousing, and domestic distribution.Oversee SAP’s Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Source-to-Settle (STS) processes, covering system inventory control and distribution managementSupport Trade Compliance team to complete HS code pre-classification of new materials and customs risk assessment & mitigationGuide the team to provide accurate and complete documentation of system and application in accordance to SOX and other regulatory requirements.Supervise the team by working with executive team members in JAPAN/APAC/ISRAEL, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business system issues and areas for development & improvement.Collaborate with IT staffs and business folks in JAPAN/APAC/Israel/Global to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for iTero in order to fulfill business objectives and processes in Japan.Developing team members’ capability by enhancing their knowledge and understanding through training and coaching to further their experience in the relevant processes.Perform other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForExperience: 5-8 years of experience in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or Customer Support environmentCommunication: Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.Complementary SkillsDemonstrated success in a similar role that has consistently achieved measurable results and business impact as a result of intelligence analysis and related work productAbility to perform in a fast-paced, highly customized environment.Exceeds at building/maintaining relationships across disciplines internally and externallyDemonstrated ability to facilitate multiple projects simultaneously delivering all at a high-level under tight timeline constraintsIn-depth understanding of supply chain processes including shipping, importation, and contract logisticsExperienced in managing and negotiating with suppliers to establish best-in-class performanceMust be self-motivated and initiating.Able to flourish in young international company experiencing significant growth (i.e. roll up sleeves approach and able to deal with ambiguity).Strong problem solving, critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skillsStrong knowledge and hands-on of SAP system is essential. Experience with SFDC is a plusNice to have Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, RPA development, Scrum MasterAdvanced business English skill is required to communicate with different regions (ie.
