We assist with translation projects for mediums such as articles, websites, blogs, social media and marketing pamphlets.Job DescriptionWe are looking to hire professional translators for freelance translator roles to work alongside our editorial and sales team, as well as our clients. Both English-to-Japanese language and Japanese-to-English roles are available.Your ResponsibilitiesResponsible for timely translation of client media.Translating all text from English to Japanese and/or vice versa.Proofreading final articles ahead of submission.Excellent creative writing skills to math the tone and purpose of the material for the client.Mandatory RequirementsProficient with proofreading, editing and copywriting.Excellent written communication skills who can connect with Japanese and English-speaking clients.Degree in Linguistics/Languages, Communications, Multi-media, or Arts & Social Sciences.Native or fluent in both Japanese and English.Proven work as a Translator, Interpreter or comparative job.Experience in Legal, IT and Marketing industries for translation work is a plus.How To ApplyPlease submit a translation sample (either English to Japanese or Japanese to English) along with a brief cover letter and your CV to jobs@metropolisjapan.com.
