About the jobJob DescriptionThe ASIC Technical Specialist is expected to have in-depth system-level understanding and knowledge of electronics systems, semiconductors and experience with the complete product hardware development cycle. The candidate will be responsible for exploring the customer systems and defining innovative ASIC products that solve system level challenges. The candidate will work closely with customers’ system hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to help define optimum ASIC solutions. Expertise covers both analog/RF and digital aspects of IC integration.We are looking for someone who can build close working relationships with key customers, define innovative custom ASIC products that solve customers’ problems, and play an active role in the sales process to gain commitments from customers. The candidate will be responsible for conducting technical conversations with customers to help drive internal feasibility studies and work with internal engineering teams to propose technical solutions to the customers.Core responsibilities:Explore systems level challenges and requirements of prospective customers with the aim of developing differentiated silicon solutionsPresent technical solutions to customersIdentify new product ideas and work with internal engineering teams to convert them into specifications that can solve customer problems creativelyProvide local technical support to customers throughout the development and production phases to ensure successful customer release to productionExperience:10+ years of experience in semiconductor applications, systems, or product designStrong knowledge and experience in Analog Mixed-Signal semiconductor, and chip designExperience in a customer facing technical role such as field application engineerJapanese level- close to Native or N1 above
