Equity Research - Analyst/Associate

Job DescriptionIf you are passionate and have strong desire to set and achieve challenging goals, you have found the right team. As an Analyst/Associate in Equity Research, you may help to conduct and facilitate industry analysis and company-specific coverage. Research is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating. We look for candidates who possess strong accounting, finance, quantitative, AI/LLM and business writing/communication skills, as well as modelling, forecasting, and valuation experience. The role will be to directly support Co-head of Research for APAC Financials equity coverage.

Job ResponsibilitiesConduct core research ranging from dissecting earnings releases and regulatory filings to assessing relevant news events. Perform modelling financial statements and industry dynamics, performing detailed valuation work, writing research notes and sector pieces. Use technology tools, including AI/LLM to improve quality of analysis, as well as workflowsSpeak to internal/external clients and management teams about the stocks/sector. Work with our partners in both sales and trading to provide comprehensive client coverage, including fulfilling client requests for market updates and market intelligence.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities And SkillsMinimum 2 years’ experience in Research, Investment, Banking, Consulting, or another analytical and demanding roleAdvanced level of proficiency in ExcelStrong written and oral communication skillsA passion in the capital market A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics etc. A core course or capability in statistics, programming and use of AI/LLMPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities And SkillsA CFA, or progress toward a CFA, is a plusABOUT USJ.
