Job Description

As a Junior Behaviour Consultant at Monarch House, under the supervision of BCBAs, you will be responsible for assessing, designing, monitoring, and supervising ABA interventions for children and youth with ASD, other developmental disabilities, or other learning and behaviour needs. You will be responsible primarily for clients in the ABA program.Work setting: community-basedWork schedule: 25 hours per weekMonday, Tuesday, and Friday at 11am - 7pmTake an inside look at what you will do each day:Assess client needs and caregiver prioritiesDevelop, monitor, and supervise a behavior plan for each client, targeting areas of skill acquisition and problem behaviour reductionConduct Functional AnalysesProvide training to caregiverProvide training and regular feedback reviews for behaviour interventionistsLead team meetings and work collaboratively with caregivers and other professionalsDevelop and update treatment plans as requiredMaintain knowledge in current evidence-based practicesSupervise graduate students pursuing certification and other ABA students (e.g., practicum students), if appropriateSupervise and mentor behaviour interventionists and Registered Behaviour Technicians™ (RBT®)Here Is What You Will Need To Be SuccessfulStrong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skillsValid driver’s license and access to a vehicleCurrent police check for the vulnerable sectorEnrollment in master’s degree in applied Behaviour AnalysisCertified as a BCaBA™ or RBT® (not requirement)Experience with conducting Functional Analyses and functional behaviour assessmentsExperience with using ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, and/or EFL assessment toolsWhat Can Monarch House Offer YouWe are proud of our friendly environment, supportive leadership and the knowledgeable team members who make it all possible.
