First Affiliated also supports continuing professional education and personal development. Position SummaryThis is a full-time position (4 1/2 days per week), reporting to the Head of Corporate & Client Accounting, working out of our Collingwood or Mississauga office. Primary responsibilities include full cycle bookkeeping for corporate clients including investment data entry.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Minimum 3 years of accounting experience is required. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or equivalent accounting designation is an asset. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, as well as high attention to detail and accuracy. Working knowledge of investment accounting principles. Able to manage multiple tasks, receive work from various sources and manage tight deadlines. Demonstrated strong ability to interact professionally with our valued clients, by email, on the phone and in person. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail. Act with utmost discretion with confidential information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working independently and in a high-pressure environment. Completion of a university degree in business, finance, or related field. Experience with QuickBooks Online and Sage 50 is an asset.Key Responsibilities Full-cycle bookkeeping from journal entries through to financial statements for corporate clients. Posting corporate bookkeeping transactions into accounting software. Prepare reconciliation of bank accounts and tax slips to client corporate and trust financials. Prepare bookkeeping for investment entries (collect invoices, investment statements, etc.). Support year-end tax planning initiatives. Collaborate with client and external accountants to ensure accurate reporting.
