Job Description

This part-time opportunity is an on-site position for an independent contractor, with 7-10 years of experience.  The bookkeeper will be responsible for inputting transactions, which requires knowledge of QuickBooks Online and DonorPerfect (preferred). The bookkeeper will maintain the books and records, keeping them current and accurate.  Weekly Duties include, but are not limited to:1.      Accounts Receivable§ Entering gift details into the payment system, ensuring reconciliation with DonorPerfect, and entering in the general ledger.2.      Accounts Payable§ Entering all payables in the general ledger.§ Preparing cheques/online payments for disbursements as advised by the office manager. Approval will be given by President and/or Financial Secretary prior to payment. § Journalizing all approved vendor payments. Biweekly Duties include, but are not limited to:1.      Payroll§ Processing payroll and transmitting e-transfers to employees.§ Maintain the payroll journal. Monthly Duties include, but are not limited to:1.      Remitting payroll withholdings to CRA. Semi-annual Duties include, but are not limited to:1.      Assist with the preparation of official charitable donation receipts for donors. Annual Duties include, but are not limited to:1.      Preparing any information required by external auditors.2.      Filing HST remittance return and rebate claim.   Required Hours: 24/month, minimum commitmentHourly Rate: $60.00
