We made air travel more affordable for Canadians and now we're going global.Join us, this is where your career story takes off.The Specialist Payment Services - Accounts Receivable leads initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across receivables and payment processes. With comprehensive knowledge of the full accounts receivable cycle, this role identifies and addresses issues impacting performance, collaborates with business and technical teams to optimize processes, and champions the adoption of new technologies and best practices. Acting as a center of excellence, the Specialist drives continuous improvement, supports innovation across all Payment Services functions, and fosters a culture of learning, adaptability, and forward-thinking to enable long-term team and organizational success.Responsibilities: Lead and execute projects and initiatives that improve efficiency, accuracy, and service quality. Ensuring all tasks are executed meticulously and deliverables are produced on time Partner with business stakeholders to assess process readiness, perform gap analyses, and implement improvements to enhance performance. Represent the team in technology upgrades and system enhancements, defining requirements and performing user acceptance testing (UAT). Communicate and train team on process changes resulting from implementation of projects, process or technology changes, supporting documentation updates. Manage and enhance the data hub for AR Team, developing analytical reports that enable data-driven decisions to support data driven business decisions. Prepare and analyze monthly KPI metrics, identify root causes for performance gaps, and implement remediation plans. Train and lead the team on full cycle accounts receivable processes including month end close Conduct periodic qualitative testing on processes and controls, partnering with leadership to strengthen risk management. Stay current on industry trends, systems, and technology advancements; provide insights and advocate for innovation to improve productivity and efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related, and or a CPA Designation. Project Management Level 1 PMP Certified; preferred. Skills Experience Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in full cycle AP, AR, and Vendor Master Data. Proficient in large ERP systems such as JDE, SmartKargo, SAP, or equivalent platforms Demonstrated experience in process automation and implementing industry best practices. Proven track record of identifying, leading, and executing process improvements. Advanced skills in data management, analytics, and reporting using Excel and Power BI. Strong business acumen with excellent judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
