Junior Cyber Security Analyst

We Are Hiring!Job Title: Junior Cyber Security AnalystLocation: Ara DamansaraSalary Range: RM3,000 – RM6,000Expected work activities:1.Monitoring:Continuous monitoring of security events using a SIEM platform.Analyzing alerts to identify potential threats and false positives.2.Incident Triage and Escalation:Performing initial investigation and triage for identified security incidents.Escalating complex incidents to L2 SOC tier or ENG teams.3.Threat Detection:Identifying and responding to suspicious activity or anomalies in network traffic and system behavior.Developing familiarity with threat intelligence feeds to recognize and/or perform searches with indicators of compromise (IOCs).4.Log Management:Collecting, parsing, and correlating logs from various sources.Ensuring proper log retention and assisting in compliance-related log reviews.Behavioral competencies:Ability and autonomy to manage complex tasks.Work as a team to achieve business goals; willingness to share findings, ask for help, and contribute to a positive and cooperative team environment.Proactive understanding of an incident's root causes and assess the potential impact.RequirementsDiploma in a technical or IT-related field.At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (cyber security, SOC, or related).Knowledge of common cyber technologies: SIEM, SOAR, XDR, Firewall, etc.Strong understanding of cyber-attack methodologies (TTP, threat actors, malware campaigns).Ability to conduct analysis, event correlation, and apply incident handling procedures.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
