Company DescriptionDMC Estimating is a boutique firm based in Ontario, dedicated to delivering accurate project cost estimates and innovative solutions for the mining industry. We are seeking a motivated team player to join our estimating team. This position is ideal for students interested in the mining sector and who want hands on experience in project cost estimation and operations on projects around world.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, organize, and analyze project data (labour, materials and equipment)Support preparation of cost estimates, bid packages, and budget forecasts for mining projectsconduct market research on pricing, mining methods and supplier dataPrepare reports, spreadsheets and presentations for internal and client useCollaborate with engineers, project managers and senior estimators on active projectsRequirementsCurrently enrolled in 4th year or recently graduated (in the last 2 years) from a bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.MUST BE LEGALLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN CANADAStrong Analytical and numerical skills; proficiency in Excel or other data tools.Interest in mining operations, projects, planning and cost controlDetailed oriented, organized and eager to learn in a fast pace environment.Strong skills using MS ExcelStrong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent written and oral fluency in English;Strong written abilities needed for internal and external purposes;Superior organizational skills and be tech savvy with excellent abilities using MS Office;Professional demeanor and appearance;Please send your resume, transcript & cover letter to: david@dmcestimating.com
