This position plays a critical role ensuring PCL is visually represented in the best way possible through graphic design.Here's how a Junior Graphic Designer for our US Head Office office contributes to our team:ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate a passion for design and ability to produce a variety of quality work in a fast-paced team environment Concept and design creative solutions that align with brand standards for a variety of uses, including web, email, social media, videos, brand campaigns, digital brochures and print pieces Execute and package design projects, and output for appropriate channels, within project schedules and deadlines Ensure quality and consistency of design across multiple devices and platforms Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver designs that are creative, align with technical requirements and demonstrate an effective user experience Gather feedback and analyze data to adjust designs to increase engagement Provide advice and guidance on the aesthetic for brand campaigns, projects and events Creation and development of powerful presentations Effectively communicate design challenges and issues to the immediate manager Follow standard creative processes to reach desired outcomes Set up design files and organize assets within a defined process Other duties as required Qualifications1+ year graphic design experience on a variety of project types Post-secondary degree or diploma in graphic design or a related art/design field Proficient in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop required Strong understanding of design principles and theory to create effective visual communication on a consistent basis Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, choices and solutions confidently, clearly and effectively to internal teams and clients Ability to accept and effectively process and implement feedback and constructive criticism regularly Some traditional and digital illustration skills is preferred Familiarity with coordinating with local and online print vendors Prior use of a project management tool to track and report on projects is preferred Experience in email newsletter and interactive digital brochure platforms is preferred Experience with mobile-first and responsive design is preferred Working ConditionsThis is an in-office position with some flexibility.Please include a sample document, portfolio, or website link in lieu of a cover letter for consideration for this role.PCL is an innovative, employee-owned company comprised of people who find passion in their profession and take pride in doing great work every day.
