This role involves close collaboration with other team members to ensure the accurate and consistent production of daily P&L reports across all commodity products traded by the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong product knowledge, exceptional quantitative and analytical abilities, keen attention to detail, and advanced Excel proficiency.Job Responsibilities:Accurately enter trades into the company’s trading systems across various commodity groups, with a primary focus on Oil, Distillates, Ags, Softs, Metals, Steel, FX, etc.Process timely trade amendments and ensure all updates are reflected accurately in the systemsReconcile daily P&L variances between trader estimates and actual results, investigating and resolving discrepanciesPublish daily P&L reports to traders and senior management in a timely mannerMaintain and update trading system reference data, including book structures and instrument creationJob Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline1-2 years experience with prior internship or academic experience related to commodities, finance, or data analytics preferred but not requiredStrong interest in commodities trading, risk management, or financial markets.Advanced Excel skills required — must be comfortable working with large data sets and using tools such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/HLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, and formulasExperience with VBA macros or SQL/Python is a plusExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with close attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively within a team-oriented structureWillingness to work extended hours occasionally to support daily reporting deadlines
