Junior Network Administrator

Ergo is seeking a Junior Network Administrator to join our team on-site with a key client in Dublin City. This is a permanent hybrid role, perfect for someone with enterprise-level and/or MSP (Managed Service Provider) experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment. What will you do?Configure and provide 1st and 2nd line support for enterprise-level routing & switching solutions.Assist in deploying and troubleshooting multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with business goals.Support and optimise network security policies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, etc.).Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.Use network monitoring tools for uptime tracking and capacity planning.Document and communicate network configuration changes effectively.Manage Data Centre cable organisation and equipment patching.What do you need?2+ years of experience in enterprise-level network environments.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not essential)Solid understanding of LAN/WAN/WLAN troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Familiarity with routing and switching protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, STP).Experience with network security design and firewall technologies.Proficiency in network monitoring and documentation tools.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.A hunger to learn and grow alongside experienced engineers.Certifications: Cisco CCNA and/or Juniper equivalent.
