Job Description

We’re a TV production company looking for a full time, Junior Production Accountant to join our friendly and supportive finance team in Bristol. The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for someone newly part-qualified (AAT Level 3 or 4) who is looking to build a career in production finance. You’ll be trained and supported by our experienced finance team to take on financial responsibilities across a slate of productions. Reporting to the Management Accountant, you’ll work closely with Production Managers, Co-ordinators, and the wider finance team to ensure smooth financial operations throughout the production lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesAs you grow into the role, you’ll learn to:Assist with the financial setup and management of productions using PMISupport production teams with day-to-day financial queries and processes, including trouble shooting any PMI software issuesHelp monitor production spend, including managing expenses, credit cards, cash advances, and reconciliationsReview all necessary production records to ensure forecasts reflect accurate information and effective overall cost control of the productionAssist in preparing monthly payrollMaintain accurate records for your productions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal control mechanismsPrepare intercompany recharges and kit hire invoicesPreparation of financial reports for broadcastersAct as a second authoriser on bank paymentsLiaise with the rest of the finance team on month and year end proceduresSupport the Production Accountant, Management Accountant and Finance Director as requiredStay up to date with company financial procedures and industry developmentsWhat We’re Looking ForAAT Level 3 or 4 qualified (or currently studying)Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solvingStrong communication skills and ability to build relationships across teamsGood Excel skills and willingness to learn new systems (PMI training provided)An understanding of financial accounting (basic P&L and BS knowledge)An interest in TV production and the creative industriesAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectivelyWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceFlexible working arrangements25 days holiday + bank holidaysPension scheme – 5% employer contributionOur company was founded on the simple belief that the natural world is constantly evolving, and our job is to keep up.
