The Junior Production Coordinator is an entry-level role that supports the production team by handling administrative tasks, maintaining trackers, and assisting with communication. They ensure that information is accurately updated and shared, while gaining exposure to the full animation pipeline. This role is detail-oriented, highly organized, and ideal for individuals eager to grow into senior coordination or production management roles.ResponsibilitiesScheduling & Tracking:Update daily task trackers and project schedules under guidance from the Senior Coordinator.Record and circulate meeting notes, ensuring all action items are tracked.Monitor progress at the shot or task level and escalate issues when needed.Workflow & Resource Support:Assist with updating team availability and workload logs.Provide logistical support for reviews, feedback sessions, and deliveries.Help organize and maintain asset libraries and version records.Communication:Share updates with team members through approved channels (email, messaging tools, project trackers).Act as support in coordinating feedback between departments.Prepare simple reports or updates as requested by Senior Coordinators or Line Producers.Production Support:Assist with preparing delivery files, checking naming conventions, and organizing assets.Support basic data collection for progress or cost reporting.Provide administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day production.Vendor & Freelancer Admin:Log deliveries from freelancers/vendors into production databases.Support with file naming, version control, and packaging before review.Assist senior staff with sending or receiving small delivery batches.AI & Innovation Support:Learn and apply AI tools for routine coordination tasks (e.g., data sorting, scheduling reminders, asset QC).Provide feedback on tool usability from a coordinator’s perspective.Stay open to training and upskilling in new technologies.RequirementsExperience: 0–2 years in a production, coordination, or related creative role.Internship or assistant-level experience in animation, VFX, or media production is a plus.Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Basic familiarity with production tools (ShotGrid, Google Sheets, Excel).Good written and verbal communication skills.Curiosity about AI tools and willingness to learn.Qualities:Detail-focused, proactive, and eager to contribute.Positive and adaptable attitude, comfortable working under supervision.Motivated to grow into larger production responsibilities.
