Recruiter:Staff Solutions RecruitmentJob Ref:CPT000328/HGDate posted:Thursday, March 5, 2026Location:Port Elizabeth, South AfricaSalary:MonthlySUMMARY:NEW VACANCY !!!!Our Client in the Automotive Manufacturing industry has a new vacancy for a Junior Field Service Technician based in Port ElizabethPOSITION INFO:Key ResponsibilitiesRespond promptly to service calls in accordance with the standby service contract.Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on equipment.Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure equipment functionality, reliability, and safety.Carry out workshop duties when not attending to on-site breakdowns, including but not limited to equipment assembly, disassembly, and repairs.Apply sound electrical and mechanical principles to support the effective operation of company projects.Maintain accurate and detailed service records and provide regular updates on job status.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work progress, requirements, and any issues encountered.Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, policies, and operational procedures.Be flexible and available to work overtime at short notice when operational needs require.Skills & RequirementsMatric (Grade 12) with proven experience in both mechanical and electrical disciplines.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.Ability to work independently and respond efficiently under standby conditions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong time management and organisational skills.Ability to work flexible hours and be available for standby callouts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport are essential.
