Job Description

TitleSenior Specialist I, Project ControlsAs a Senior Specialist I, Project Controls (Senior Cost Performance Analyst), you will play a pivotal role in delivering impactful cost planning, forecasting, and performance insights to business leadership. Your work will drive smarter decisions and support continuous performance improvement across the business. This role provides high exposure to senior stakeholders and is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to broaden their leadership capabilities and gain deeper insights into business operations. Key ResponsibilitiesCost Planning & Forecasting Partner with business teams to develop annual budgets, 8-quarter rolling forecasts, and Life-of-Field plans for cash costs and capex.

Populate planning systems (e. g. BPEs, CMT) and leverage automation tools where applicable. Consolidate and submit QPF (Quarterly Performance Forecast) data, providing strategic judgement and commentary. Performance Analysis & Insight Deliver detailed cost performance analysis, supported by benchmarks and analytics. Identify variances, investigate trends, and recommend corrective interventions in partnership with subject matter experts (SMEs) and Business Responsible Owners. Interrogate historical and current cost trends to identify efficiency opportunities. Strategic Business Partnership Support business planning reviews with data-backed insights and strategic recommendations. Facilitate forecasting of recharges as part of cost recovery processes, providing necessary MI and execution support.

Collaborate with regional teams to deliver performance planning, special projects, and ad hoc business leadership requests. Experience & Education Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance / Project Management, preferably within Oil & Gas industry. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline. Proven ability to deliver high-quality, actionable insights in a fast-paced, complex environment. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to distil complex data into clear, concise business narratives. Comfortable working independently, anticipating business needs, and leading cross-functional collaboration.
