Position Overview: The Assistant Manager – Treasury is responsible for overseeing cash transactions, ensuring the accuracy and security of funds, and managing the organization's liquidity. This role involves maintaining and optimizing bank relationships, analyzing financial risks, forecasting funding needs, and developing risk mitigation strategies. The Assistant Manager will also manage the treasury team, prepare financial reports, support month-end processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a deep understanding of treasury functions to support the organization’s financial stability and growth. Key Accountabilities:
Monitoring and managing the organisation's bank relationships and liquidity managementAnalysing various scenarios and risks and reporting to senior management Forecasting of medium and long- term funding and hedging requirements (if applicable)Supporting the month end process where necessaryUnderstands how regulatory reform will impact the business and helps ensure the business is best positioned to respond.
Manages aspects of risk through accounting, audit, planning and treasury functionsWorking closely with the business to minimize financial riskReviewing funding needs, monthly reporting of all treasury activities to senior managementAnalyzing and performing appropriate hedging and funding activities (Forex, swaps, loans, deposits, etc)Overseeing cash and liquidity management through cash flow planning and forecastingManaging treasury operations and controls (cash pooling/sweeping, forex hedging, etc)Managing banking relationshipsDriving treasury-specific projects/initiatives across the regionPreparing and presenting treasury reports to senior management and stakeholdersMonitoring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirementsEducation & Qualification, Experience, Training & Knowledge:
Education & QualificationBachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance required or MBA or an advanced degree in business, management, or finance requiredExperience5 years of experience in related fieldTraining & KnowledgeCTP & CPA preferredFP&A certification preferred
