Using our Localised Electrochemical Modelling (LEM) technology, Syenta is developing a new method to fabricate high-resolution structures at high speed, with applications in advanced packaging, chiplets and high-end solar cells.See our method in action!The roleWe are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Manager to establish and lead laboratory operations for our site in Sydney, Australia. This role is central to the development and optimization of Syenta’s localized electrodeposition process, ensuring results that are repeatable, reliable, and of the highest quality.The ideal candidate will bring strong laboratory management experience, a commitment to safety, and expertise in materials characterization. A background in semiconductor or cleanroom environments is highly desirable.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day laboratory operations for the Sydney, Australia teamEnsure a safe working environment, maintaining compliance with all health and safety standardsManage laboratory budgets, procurement, and inventory to support team operationsOversee equipment calibration, maintenance, and accurate documentation Evaluate new laboratory equipment/tools, techniques, and processes, presenting recommendations to stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement in laboratory procedures, safety, and efficiencyKey ExpectationsWork closely with international cross-functional teams including materials scientists, chemists, and engineers to support product development Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and productivity within the laboratory teamAbout YouBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Process Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in laboratory managementProven knowledge of laboratory operations, safety standards, and complianceStrong organizational and budgeting skillsExperience in cleanroom or semiconductor environments (preferred)We are seeking an extraordinary person who is driven by a deep passion for technology.
