About this opportunity:We are seeking a Research Assistant to support a healthcare industry research project being conducted by Veri Health. In this role, you will help to refine and plan this major industry research project, while being the driver of the project's application for ethical clearance.Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. You would be providing critical support to a team of industry leaders, researchers and educators in the early stages of this project which aims to improve aged care workforce retention, wellbeing and success through storytelling and digital media education.12-month funding has been secured for this project, with the immediate priorities being refinement and finalisation of the research plan and securing ethical clearance approvals.Key responsibilities include:Reviewing and refining existing research planContributing to literature review and background researchProviding recommendations on methodological and logistical enhancementsIdentifying suitable HREC for ethical clearance submissionDrafting human research ethics submissionAdvising leadership team on requirements and key considerations for ethical clearanceAbout you:Holds an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. public policy, health, human services)Has completed, or is currently completing, a higher degree by research (Masters or PhD) in a relevant disciplineExperience in successfully drafting ethical clearance submissionsDemonstrated understanding of ethical requirements and protocols for research involving vulnerable groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Experience conducting research with vulnerable groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Demonstrated experience in qualitative research Demonstrated experience in quantitative research Shows initiative and is willing to make recommendations on how processes and strategic direction may be improved Ability to identify potential roadblocks and provide solutions. Applicants of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background are strongly encouraged to apply. About Veri HealthVeri Health is an independent news and business intelligence platform, built for Australian healthcare businesses and their leaders.
