Job PurposeThis Airport sector focused position, as part of Group Corporate Strategy team, is expected to provide analytical support to key top stakeholders on developments in external environment, new bids and investment decisions, Go - No Go decisions in new areas, policy advocacy and other special assignments. A key component of the role would be to support the sectors on the development and deployment of Strategy plans & AOPs and their reviews.ORGANISATION CHARTCEOHead SPGKey AccountabilitiesAccountabilities Key Performance Indicators Tracking macro environmentConstantly tracking the changes and development in the macro environment. Update both on demand & on a regular basis any impact it may have on GMR’s Airport Business Briefing presentations/ notes on the changes & developments capturing the impact on GMR Preparation of Monthly MISTo work closely with sector / asset planning teams for preparation of monthly MISTimely preparation with useful insights Supporting Strategy Planning exercise, strat plan deployment & participating in AOP reviewsAttending critical reviews and extend support to the sectors, especially on Strat plans, AOPs, goal setting for the sector leadership (as per the Business excellence framework) as well as analytical assistance on special projects Quality of support extended & insights brought in during Strat plans, half yearly reviews and on various projects Facilitate Portfolio Analysis for Airport SectorAnnual analysis of each airport business by revalidating all critical assumptions that drive the value of each Asset / project in airport business and recommend potential actions if any to maximize the potential of the sector portfolio Recommendation to top stakeholders Support decision making (new bids / investments/ Go – No Go decisions)Airport specific decision support to key stakeholders - insights prior to key management reviews on new bids being evaluated by the business development teams, new investments being proposed, Go - No Go decisions, etc. Quality of Risk assessments / preparation of key discussion points Policy advocacy and external interfacingSupport facilitation of policy and advocacy related initiatives on behalf of the group.Interfacing with the external stakeholders to enrich the environment scan analysisPolicy presentations/ notes for the external agencies – industry bodies, ministries etc. Special assignmentsProvide need based support on special assignments, working with consultants on an internal study, desk based research, etc. Timely & quality of inputs as deemed necessaryKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Additional DetailsEXTERNAL INTERACTIONSExternal - Roles you need to interact with outside the organization to enable success in your day to day workIndustry forumsThought leaders & Consulting agenciesEducation & Research groupINTERNAL INTERACTIONSInternal - Roles you need to interact with inside the organization to enable success in your day to day workSector Planning Group (SPG), Group Chairman Office (GCMO) and Business Chairman Office (BCMO), Site Teams and Peer group in the organizationDepartmental heads, Business development teams, etcFINANCIAL DIMENSIONSNot applicableOther DimensionsTo begin with, it will be individual contributor role though junior members may be hired based on need in futureEducation Qualifications MBA OR Engineering Degree with post graduate diploma in Business Administration from a reputed InstitutionRelevant ExperienceMinimum 3 to 5 years of recent working experience in Airport Sector (or other relevant infrastructure or similar) and total of 10 to 15 years of experience: - Ability to scan the macroeconomic environment and understanding of PESTLE, SWOT, competencies, risks etc. Grasp on the regulatory framework, macro-economic trends and issues in the Airport sector Sound understanding of Corporate Finance & valuation frameworks along with project finance concepts Experience in quickly reading through relevant contracts & agreements along with strong excel modeling skills to support risk assessment of new bids / proposals with extensive sensitivity analysis. Ability to think through and analyze new business opportunity in a structured framework Ability and experience in using market intelligence tools like Bloomberg, Euro monitor, etc. in carrying out the assignments – like macroeconomic analysis, analytical view on sectors, companies, events, peers, partners etc. Support in Formulation and deployment of strategy Ability to constructively interact & coordinate among stakeholders within and outside the company Ability to develop processes, frameworks, tools and techniques to address various organizational issues in a structured manner.
