Cloud Platform is one of the key enablers for digital transformation. As part of the continued transformation, Chubb is increasing the pace of application transformation into containers and cloud adoption.As such we are seeking an experience cloud architect who can be part of this exciting journey at Chubb. As an experience hands on cloud architect, you will be responsible for both Infrastructure automation design and container platform design at Chubb. A successful candidate would have hands-on experience of container platforms (Kubernetes), Cloud Platforms(Azure/GCP), and experience with application architecture best practices for cloud and Infrastructure as code.Successful candidate will also have opportunity to build and innovate solutions around various Infrastructure problems right from developer experience to operational excellence across the services provided by the cloud engineering team. This is a unique opportunity for right leader to steer the product capabilities as Chubb Embarks on building its new GCP platform.Responsibilities Provide Leadership to build and execute on the Chubbs Cloud strategy. Present to Senior stakeholders and executive on the Roadmap and progress of cloud transformation Work on the cloud transformation projects across Chubb and provide architectural guidance to application team Work with cloud engineering team to design and implement right Cloud patterns including resiliency and performance best practices Make sure application teams are following Cloud Adoption Framework and designing apps with current Chubb Standards Come up with design specification of new cloud services based on requirements coming from application teams and work with Engineering to build self services around it Accountable for automation and self-service capabilities using CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure Build Operational capabilities around the Cloud platform for Operations team and guide them on the new services and capabilities coming out of engineering Document and Design controls and governance policies around Azure platform and automate deployments of the security policies in collaboration with security teams Manage the end user collaboration conduct regular sessions to educate Application users on services and automation capabilities and Chubb best practices Attend escalations from support teams and provide assistance during major production issues from an engineering prospective Assess the current application maturity with regards to cloud native architecture and direct them towards cloud native migration pattern Lead Cost management and optimization initiative with application teams to optimize and build right cost model for applications Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant fieldMinimum of 15 year experience in IT automation with 4 years supporting Azure/GCP based cloud services and 2 years of Kubernetes and DockerRelevant Azure/GCP Certification will be considered a plusExperience with large cloud transformation projects preferably in GCPExtensive experience with cloud platform mainly Azure/GCP. Worked on design of IAM/Security/Monitoring and Network Design of Cloud InfrastructureWriting Infrastructure as code and pipelines preferably using terraform, ansible, Bash and Jenkins and provide test automationAbility to work in both windows and Linux environment with Containers platform such as Kubernetes, AKS, EKSExperience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK and Prometheus and change management tool such as ServiceNowOur team makes the difference, every time.
