Project Development Manager – FinlandLeap29 is partnering with a leading developer and constructor of renewable energy projects across Finland. Specializing in solar power, wind energy, and energy storage solutions, our client manages the full lifecycle of clean energy projects — from identifying early-stage opportunities to long-term operation and electricity sales in the Nordic markets. About the RoleAs a Project Development Manager, you will join the Finland Development Team and play a pivotal role in bringing renewable energy projects from concept to completion. You’ll take responsibility for assigned projects and lead them through every stage — on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key ResponsibilitiesLead renewable energy projects from early-stage development through to implementation and long-term operation. Collaborate with landowners, municipalities, public authorities, and a range of internal and external stakeholders. Identify and evaluate new project opportunities across Finland. Oversee project planning, progress monitoring, and reporting.
Negotiate land lease agreements and manage relationships with local communities. Prepare proposals, lead contract negotiations, and deliver project presentations. Initiate and manage permitting processes, including Land Use Planning (LUP) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). Support procurement and financing activities. Coordinate technical evaluations and work with consultants on layouts, measurements, and soil studies. Maintain up-to-date profitability models and manage project budgets. Engage with regulatory bodies, ELY Centres, and network operators to secure permits and grid revenue opportunities. What We’re Looking For2–5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. Strong background in land acquisition, project development, or energy infrastructure.
Proven ability to lead or contribute significantly to projects. Skilled in stakeholder management and contract negotiation. Independent, solution-oriented, and proactive in your approach. Familiarity with Finnish permitting and zoning procedures (a strong advantage). Fluent in Finnish and English (Swedish is an asset). Educational background in law, environmental studies, or related fields is beneficial. Understanding of power markets and experience with PPAs is a plus.
