SEMH Learning Mentor – Day-to-Day Cover (Camden)Location: Camden, LondonRole Type: Day-to-day supply / flexible coverPay: £101.40 – £120 per day (dependent on experience)Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have the patience, resilience, and empathy to make a real difference every day?We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEMH Learning Mentors to provide day-to-day cover in Camden. You’ll work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning, managing behaviour, and building positive relationships.Key Responsibilities:Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis.Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.Encourage engagement with learning and help pupils develop social skills.Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure consistent support.Requirements:Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (school, youth work, or similar setting).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Calm, patient, and resilient approach.Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).Flexible and reliable for short-notice day-to-day cover.Why Join Us?Competitive daily rates.Flexible working that suits your lifestyle.Opportunities to work in a range of inclusive and supportive Camden schools.Ongoing professional development and support.
