Leather Technician Specialist

Location: Vas county, HungaryAim of the position: The task of the Leather Product Developer is developing new products, improving the existing products, and supporting the manufacturing process for the sake of quality and innovation.Working together with other departments on special projects.Main tasks:Product/process Development: Work within PD department on product and process development according to customer specifications in with main goals of developing the new colors, testing new material sources in respect to chemicals and leather suppliers.Assisting in troubleshooting issues on the production floor and working on continuous improvements in regards to process efficiency and leather utilization.Quality control:Quality and functional testing of the developed products. (ensuring proper lab submission and results revies (PDCA Cycle)Identifying deviations and suggesting necessary modifications in the manufacturing process.Documentation and reporting: Detailed documentation of development processes and testing according to IATF and APQP.Preparing regular reports for the Development Manager and Production Team.Handover book preparation and follow up first production runs.Maintenance of lessons learned database.Market research: Collecting and considering customer feedback to improve products.Collaboration:Close collaboration with operations, quality control and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches.Working on introduction of new technologies and procedures to support the team's work.Manage R&D projects and introduce new finishing techniquesOversee quality assurance and supervise QC teamsSupport product design and technical development for automotive interiorsEnsure compliance with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, and product liability regulationsPromote sustainable and energy-efficient productionTrain staff and document processes using SAP and internal standardsExpectations:Higher education in leather, materials science or chemical engineering.At least 2-3 years of experience in leather product development or related field.Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.Outstanding communication and team working skills.
