Lakeshore Talent is in search of a Leave & Workers’ Compensation Administrator to join our client’s HR team on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This position offers a fully remote work environment and provides all necessary equipment, including a computer, screens, and phone.Position Details:Contract Length: 6 months to startPay Rate: $41.75 – $54.28 per hourLocation: RemotePosition SummaryThe Leave & Workers’ Compensation Administrator is responsible for overseeing and administering the organization’s workers’ compensation, leave of absence (FMLA and state-mandated), and ADA/ADAAA programs. This role serves as the subject matter expert in compliance, process improvement, and case management, ensuring all programs are managed accurately and in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.Key ResponsibilitiesLeave of Absence, FMLA, and ADA Administration (70%)Manage and coordinate ADA, FMLA, and other leave programs to ensure legal and organizational compliance.Stay current on all federal, state, and local leave and disability laws.Partner with internal stakeholders (Legal, Payroll, HR, managers, and third-party administrators) to ensure accurate administration of leave programs.Oversee disability benefits, leave policies, and coordination with workers’ compensation and ADA processes.Develop and maintain leave-related documentation, guides, forms, and templates.Track, communicate, and administer benefit premiums during employee leaves.Maintain accurate data in HRIS and/or vendor databases and produce metrics and reports.Reconcile vendor invoices and ensure proper payment processing.Workers’ Compensation Administration (30%)Manage all aspects of workers’ compensation claims, including employee communication, claim tracking, and coordination with adjusters.Maintain complete and compliant records of claims and OSHA documentation.Collaborate with medical providers and management to ensure prompt and appropriate treatment for employees.Liaise with external vendors to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and resolution of complex cases.Develop and maintain policies and procedures for workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs.Prepare and submit OSHA 300A and 301 reports and ensure timely posting.Stay current on state workers’ compensation laws and OSHA reporting requirements.Perform reconciliation of related vendor invoices.Required QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in workers’ compensation claims management, leave of absence administration, and ADA administration.Strong understanding of state and federal laws related to WC, FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and ADA.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, complex cases, and sensitive employee matters.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and report writing.Experience with HRIS systems and vendor case management platforms.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and maintain professionalism in complex situations.Education: High school diploma or GED required.If you have strong expertise in leave and workers’ compensation administration and are looking for a remote contract opportunity where you can make an impact, we encourage you to apply!
