The OpportunityAn excellent and meaningful opportunity has arisen for a Legal Advisor to join a government-funded national support service on a 4-month contract. This role will suit a Solicitor or Barrister with strong experience in assisted decision-making, capacity law, disability law, elder/vulnerable persons law, or probate.Reporting directly to the CEO, this position offers a high level of responsibility and influence within a national advocacy organisation supporting vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will operate at a senior level within the legal function and work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the country.This is a role well-suited to someone seeking purpose-driven work, those interested in the not-for-profit or social impact sector, or individuals who may be semi-retired and looking for a meaningful contribution in a flexible environment.Who You AreA qualified Solicitor or Barrister (Ireland)Experienced in one or more of the following areas:Assisted Decision-MakingVulnerable Persons / Elder LawDisability LawProbate / Capacity IssuesComfortable advising senior stakeholders on sensitive, high-impact legal mattersAble to work both independently and collaboratively with advocacy teams across multiple regionsStrong communicator with excellent judgement, empathy, and the ability to support rights-based decision-makingInterested in contributing to a mission-led organisation supporting vulnerable people nationwideSuitable for individuals with significant experience, or someone seeking part-time, flexible, or purpose-driven legal workWhat’s On OfferA senior advisory role working directly with the CEO in a respected national advocacy organisationOpportunity to influence outcomes for vulnerable adults and contribute to rights-based decision-making frameworksFlexible working arrangements, with 1–3 days per week of in-person attendance depending on operational needsExposure to complex capacity, decision-making and safeguarding matters within a collaborative, values-driven environmentA 4-month contract with the possibility of extension subject to funding and organisational needsSalary in the region of €60,000 – €65,000 per annum (pro-rata)Immediate interview availabilityWhat’s NextIf you’re considering your next move, or exploring purpose-driven legal roles, please get in touch.
