With a long-standing reputation for quality and client service, the firm offers a professional, collaborative, and supportive environment where team members can grow and thrive.Your new roleThis position is part of the firm’s Resource Team — a group of highly skilled legal assistants who provide short- and long-term coverage and overflow support across Corporate/Commercial and Litigation practice areas. The role involves working closely with lawyers and assistants across departments to ensure seamless client service and efficient workflow.Key responsibilities include:Providing coverage and overflow assistance for legal assistants in multiple practice areasDrafting, proofreading, and formatting a range of legal and general documents, including agreements, correspondence, reports, and court materialsPreparing, filing, and serving court documentsManaging calendars, coordinating meetings, and arranging travelDeveloping and maintaining organized filing systems using iManage (DMS)Supporting billing processes including opening and closing client files, entering dockets, preparing expense reports, and assisting with client accountsEstablishing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external contactsKnowledge, qualifications, skills, and experienceMinimum 1 year of experience as a legal assistant in litigation and/or corporate lawPost-secondary education in legal administration or equivalent experienceStrong computer and typing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systemsExcellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail and accuracyImpeccable proofreading and grammar skillsProfessional, adaptable, and collaborative team player with a client-service mindsetKey competenciesThis role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
