Legal Compliance Manager

Position: Manager, Legal and ComplianceJob DescriptionThe successful candidate will be required to provide comprehensive legal support and guidance across our business operations. This role combines legal advisory responsibilities with compliance oversight, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in corporate law, contract management, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.The Role:Provide legal advice on day-to-day operations and new business initiatives.Identify, assess, and manage legal risks; assist in developing corporate policies and procedures.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and other legal documents, includes registering/licensing new investment advisers and licensing individuals.Maintain contract repository and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Oversee compliance requirements including KYC/AML checks, licensing, and regulatory filings regarding asset management and Private Equities business.Monitor changes in laws and regulations across operating regions and update internal policies accordingly.Support corporate governance activities such as entity setup, board resolutions, and internal approvals.Support the in all compliance matters, including business compliance, investment compliance, and AML regarding Asset management and Private Equities BusinessLiaise with external legal advisors, regulators, auditors, and law enforcement when necessary.Collaborate closely with business units to provide legal and compliance guidance.Conduct internal training on legal and compliance risks.Assist in building internal workflows and maintaining documentation for legal processes.Stay on top of changing legal and compliance obligations across our operating regionsLiaise with external parties regarding legal and compliance matters, including external compliance consultant, auditors, law enforcement, legal advisors and regulators.What experience is required?Bachelor’s degree in law5–6 years of relevant experience in legal advisory and compliance, preferably in Finance, Asset Management, or Private Equity sectors.Strong knowledge of corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and compliance standards.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluency in English (written and spoken).Familiarity with fund management regulations and AML requirements.Experience in cross-border legal matters and multi-jurisdictional compliance.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
