Linux Administrator – Dubai, Full TimeWe are currently supporting a semi-government organization in Dubai in their search for an experienced Linux Administrator. This is a key role within the IT Infrastructure team, responsible for managing, optimizing, and ensuring the stability and security of Linux-based systems and environments.Key Responsibilities:Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers across production and development environments.Manage system performance, reliability, and security, including patching, upgrades, and scheduled maintenance.Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support application deployment, monitoring, and automation.Ensure system compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.Monitor system utilization and recommend enhancements to optimize infrastructure performance.Document configurations, policies, procedures, and technical changes in alignment with IT governance standards.Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams as needed.Key Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years’ professional experience as a Linux/Unix Administrator in enterprise environments.Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Ubuntu Server.Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM).Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).Familiarity with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).Knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and security best practices.Experience working in structured, change-controlled IT environments.Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenStack).Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).Industry certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Linux+.Salary: CompetitiveBenefits: Medical Insurance and Visa (family), flight ticket allowance (employee only)
