Job SummaryThe Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) team in Malaysia provides centralized leadership for all import and export activities across Mr. DIY worldwide, ensuring efficient shipment planning and execution. Our team facilitates the smooth movement of goods to and from various international locations, prioritizing cost-efficiency and effective logistics operations. We are seeking a proactive and driven individual to join our GTPC team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring, measuring, and supervising international import and export shipments, managing customs clearance, coordinating logistics handling, and performing data analysis to drive operational improvements. This role requires a strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with both domestic regulations and international export, trade, and financial standards. This position will be based at Balakong Industrial Park, Malaysia.Job ResponsibilityOversee all import activities into Malaysia and domestic export shipments from West to East Malaysia and Brunei, ensuring smooth, timely, and compliant shipping operations.Collects, interprets and analyzes various types of logistics data including (1)Backlog deliveries, (2)Fulfilment metrics, (3)Shipping lead time and cost, (4)Reliability and cost effectiveness of 3PL.Coordinate vessel schedules, delivery planning, warehouse allocations, and shipments for new store openings.Prepare, review, and maintain accuracy of shipping documents (e.g. invoices, packing lists, costing files), resolving any discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.Monitor and analyze logistics performance, including backlog deliveries, fulfilment metrics, lead times, shipping costs, and 3PL service reliability.Generate weekly and monthly logistics reports, and present clear updates to management on performance, costs, and improvement areas.Identify shipping issues, propose and implement timely solutions, and support continuous process optimization.Support logistics solution development and seasonal container delivery planning in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Perform ad-hoc tasks and mini projects as assigned.Requirements:Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant working experience in global trading, import & export, or logistics.Basic or good understanding of import and export procedures, customs operation and HS codes knowledge.Good interpersonal and communication skills which able to interact with various levels of people.Detail-oriented, self-driven and agile to various situation.Ability to ‘think out of the box’ for problem-solving and competency to contribute ideas to address operational issues.Full professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage when liaising with certain stakeholders.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (Intermediate skill level such as Pivot Table, V-lookup) and Power Point.
