Position OverviewThe Logistics Incharge is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the logistics and supply chain operations within the company. This includes inbound raw materials, storage, inter-plant movement, and outbound finished goods distribution to customers, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of all lubricant products.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of the lubricant warehouse (or tank farm, if applicable), including receiving, inspection, storage, and dispatch of finished products and packaging materials. Ensure accurate and real-time inventory management through the use of an ERP/WMS system, conducting regular physical stock checks and reconciliation. Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for different packaging types (drums, pails, bottles, bulk tanks) while adhering to safety and environmental standards specific to flammable/hazardous materials. Coordinate and manage the fleet of transport vehicles (company-owned or third-party) for both local and long-haul distribution. Develop and implement efficient routing and scheduling plans to meet delivery deadlines while minimizing transportation costs. Ensure all transport operations comply with legal regulations for the carriage of dangerous goods (e.g., proper labeling, documentation, and driver training). Oversee the generation and accuracy of all logistics documentation, including Invoices, Delivery Challans, E-Way Bills, Bills of Lading (B/L), and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Ensure strict compliance with Customs, Excise, and local tax regulations related to the movement of goods. Supervise, train, and motivate the warehouse and logistics staff (e.g., storekeepers, loaders, drivers). Champion a Safety First culture; enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, particularly regarding the handling and storage of petroleum products. Monitor and analyze logistics expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in warehousing, transportation, and packaging. Negotiate rates and manage relationships with external logistics service providers (LSPs) and freight forwarders. RequiredBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Lubricants, Chemicals, or FMCG industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel). Solid understanding of local and national transportation laws and safety protocols for handling hazardous/flammable goods. Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM). Experience with import/export logistics and customs procedures.
