Job SummaryNational Accounts | Logistics & Supply Chain Summer InternBased in Lancaster, PA, Clark Associates has been a disruptive force in the Food Service industry for 50 years. As its newest division, Clark National Accounts has been charged with further expanding the reach of Clark's products and services through the strategic application of technology and innovation. Clark National Accounts' rapidly expanding client portfolio includes a wide variety of nationally recognized brands, each with their own unique set of formidable challenges and exciting opportunities.Your focused internship will allow you to work closely with Clark National Accounts’ Logistics & Supply Chain department, where you’ll gain hands-on exposure to multiple functions while further aligning your experience with your professional goals.The Logistics & Supply Chain team is made up of two key groups:Logistics Support – responsible for proactive report monitoring, resolving day-to-day order and fulfillment issues, and ensuring stakeholders are fully informed on order/item statuses.Project Fulfillment – specializing in the execution of large, staged customer projects and providing expertise in specialty freight quoting and coordination.During your internship, you’ll have the chance to learn from both Logistics Support and Project Fulfillment. Your team placement will be determined during the application process, ensuring the best fit for your skills and our business needs.ResponsibilitiesWhat you’ll have an opportunity to do:Analyze customers' issues, investigate problems, and provide strategic solutions.Provide friendly, efficient, and accurate solutions for internal stakeholders with the goal of customer loyalty and increased business sales.Oversee and run different reports that catch issues and problems before they arise to the customer. Learn about the food service industry, the products that we sell, and the unique needs of the clients we serve.Assist in coordinating and executing large, staged customer projects in partnership with distribution centers to ensure timely, accurate order flow.Gain experience in inventory management, shipment quoting, and making strategic fulfillment decisions that balance cost, timing, and customer needs.Develop a self-driven “Legacy Project”.Following your initial first three weeks with the Logistics Team, you will choose an area that closely aligns with your own strengths and interests and identify a Legacy Project that will produce real-world value, and a lasting impact on the division even after your internship has concluded.Examples of Legacy Projects Include: Developing processes or reports to streamline the customer’s process, specializing and working with vendors to improve our drop shipment process, creating up-to-date SOPs for reports and processes, and much more!Physical RequirementsWork is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.Remote Work QualificationsAccess to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.Access to a home router and modem.A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.).
