M&A AssociateLondon, UKServicesUp to £70,000 + bonusWe are partnering exclusively with a fast-growing, PE-backed services business undergoing a significant phase of expansion. With a clear buy-and-build strategy, the group has already established a strong platform and is now scaling rapidly through targeted acquisition and integration of high-quality firms across the UK and Europe.As part of this next stage of growth, the business is seeking an M&A Associate to join its Corporate Development team. Working closely with the Head of M&A and senior leadership, this role places you at the heart of the organisation’s value-creation engine—supporting the full deal lifecycle from origination and assessment through to integration and post-deal performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDriving key workstreams across the full transaction lifecycle—from sourcing and evaluating targets through to due diligence, negotiations, and closing.Developing, refining, and maintaining robust financial models to assess performance, deal structures, valuation scenarios, and synergies.Preparing clear, compelling investment papers, presentations, and insights for senior leadership, the Board, and private equity partners.Coordinating external advisors and internal stakeholders across financial, legal, commercial, and operational due diligence to ensure efficient deal execution.Supporting post-merger integration by working closely with operational, finance, and integration teams to drive smooth transitions and value delivery.Building and developing the acquisition pipeline through targeted research, market mapping, and proactive engagement with potential targets.Fostering strong relationships with founders, management teams, advisors, and internal leaders to influence outcomes and facilitate collaboration.The Ideal CandidateExperience in M&A, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, or Corporate Development gained in a professional services environment (e.g., Big 4, boutique advisory, investment bank) or within a corporate/PE-backed business.Strong financial modelling, commercial analysis, and valuation skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Confident communicator with the presence to work directly with senior leaders, business owners, and investors.Proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable taking ownership in a dynamic and entrepreneurial setting.Experience within services-based industries and / or in a buy-and-build environment is advantageous, though not essential.For more information, please apply for this role or contact Alba Amigo at alba.migo@phippscameron.com.
