About The RoleWe are looking for Machine Operators to join our team at our plant based in Airport Oaks. We are looking for a few Machine Operators for a variety of shift patterns which are all Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for monitoring machine output, ensuring the products meet client specifications and all products are completed to a high standard of quality. If you do not have experience in machine operating in a manufacturing environment, full training will be provided. This role does require some heavy lifting so it is required that you are physically fit. You will attend a full site induction and food safety course, as well as full training on SOPs and you will have the opportunity to progress through the levels - this is encouraged. The current hours available are:Morning shift: 07:00AM - 03:00PMAfternoon shift: 03:00PM - 11:00PMNight shift: 11:00PM - 07:00AM (Please note the night shift is Sunday to Thursday)The Main Duties IncludeMaintain continuous operation of extrusion machinesHelp the experienced Operator’s in setting up materials and machineryMaintain optimum machine output in line with the production planAll scrap is monitored and minimised where possibleStrive to upskill and nominate areas for potential improvementSkills & RequirementsDemonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as good mechanical understandingIdeally you have come from a background operating machinery in a factory environmentReliable transport to get yourself to and from workNo criminal historyPossess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systemsMust be a team playerAble to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictionsThorough with good attention to detailPhysically fit and able to do some heavy liftingAbout the CompanyWe are a global manufacturer of flexible packaging for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, medical and personal care industries.
