Our solutions support pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance shutdowns across Oil & Gas, chemical, power generation, and other process industries.Fuel your passionAs a Machinery Diagnostics Field Engineer, you will provide customers with comprehensive service solutions for their critical rotating machinery assets. You will evaluate equipment health using advanced vibration diagnostics and rotor dynamic analysis, ensuring safe, reliable, and optimized operation of machinery across diverse industrial applications.As a Machinery Diagnostics Field Engineer, you will be responsible for:Diagnosing machinery issues using vibration data, operational data, and customer insightsTraveling to customer sites to deliver high‑quality technical support and servicePreparing timely, detailed reports outlining findings and actionable recommendationsBuilding strong customer relationships and serving as a trusted advisor for rotating equipment healthCalculating and supervising the placement of balance weights for machinery balancingApplying and upholding Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards in all field activitiesTo be successful in this role you will:Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with rotating equipmentHave been willing to travel extensively (up to 70%) and work significant paid overtimeHave a valid driver’s license and passport (or be able to obtain one)Have been eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)Have been able to travel internationally and occasionally work on offshore platformsDesired CharacteristicsHave a strong theoretical and practical understanding of reliability servicesHave an ISO certification in vibration analysisHave a confidence and professionalism when interacting with customers and teamsHave excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying technical conceptsHave ability to perform under pressure and in challenging field conditionsHave a Project management capabilitiesHave proficiency with MS Office and general computer skillsHave hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting skillsHave ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and printsHave a knowledge of rotating machinery operation and control systemsHave a familiarity with machinery protection and management systemsHave an experience with at least one of the following: mechanical vibration, rotating machinery diagnostics, rotodynamic analysis, PdM data acquisition/evaluation, machinery balancing or alignmentHave knowledge of Bently Nevada products and servicesWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role and does not include other forms of compensation.
