Our facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech at Berkshire Eye Surgery CenterThe Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experienceCertification as required by state and/or centerPrevious experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferredMust possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstanding of aseptic techniques and their implementationAbility to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when neededMust excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physiciansWho We AreAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
