With a track record of technical excellence and more than 60 years of international development experience and relationships, we deliver innovative solutions that transform lives.For more information, please see www.dt-global.comThe RoleThe Maintenance Coordinator will support the effective delivery of training by providing effective service and management of the stores, assets and facility maintenance and to ensure the effective operations of Pacific Australia Skills policies and work instructions. The position will report to the Operations Manager.Roles And Responsibilities Plan, Schedule and Coordinate all maintenance and repair activities to ensure facilities, equipment’s and assets are well maintained and operating efficiently. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of assets. Receive, Prioritize and Assign maintenance requests to contractors based on urgency, safety and operational needs. Monitor and Supervise maintenance external contractors, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard. Oversee grounds maintenance activities, including landscaping, waste management and general upkeep of outdoor areas. Assist the Administration and Procurement Coordinator with the procurement of goods and services that presents the best value for money. Ensure accurate records of assets, equipment and tools stored in the storerooms and workshops, as well as records of maintenance activities, work orders, service reports. Carry out quarterly stock take of the assets and equipment’s and collaborate with the Country Operations Manager to include all new assets in the asset management software. Ensure that assets, equipment and tools are safe and in good working order with unsafe equipment tagged out for repair or disposal. Ensure safety and security of the training resources, consumables and facilities and ensure that Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards are always maintained and that staff, students, visitors and contractors always adhere to the WHS policy and procedures. Selection CriteriaEssential Experience And Knowledge Demonstrated experience in performing a broad range of general maintenance, repairs, and handyman duties across building, grounds and facilities. Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and materials. Demonstrated experience in office maintenance, procurement, asset & stock management and managing service contractors. Proven ability to identify, assess and carry out routine maintenance tasks safely and efficiently, including minor carpentry, painting, plumbing and basic electrical work. Demonstrated ability in the control of a multi-purpose trades store and ability to work unsupervised and demonstrated the capacity to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines. Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, including sound written and verbal communication skills in both Samoan and English; and proficient with Microsoft office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Proven capacity to exercise sound judgement and demonstrated experience maintaining a high level of service standards, being methodical and ability to adhere to work instructions, policies and processes. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a small and dedicated team. Can drive both manual and automatic vehicles with valid driver’s license.
