Closing on: Nov 14, 2025Subsidiary: Atlantic Quarry and Concrete ProductsPurpose: The role of a Maintenance Engineer involves daily maintenance activities to ensure that the machines in the production plant are running efficiently in optimal conditions with minimum down time.The job holder must perform all tasks safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Reliability.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesLeading mechanical design and maintenance tasks.Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems.Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns and downtimes.Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records.Monitoring the availability of parts and requesting role related supplies.Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.Performs other work as assigned and required by your supervisors.Qualifications/ExperienceMinimum of Degree in mechanical engineering (plant option), or similar.A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a mechanical technician in a concrete batching industry.Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.Proficiency in mechanical design and diagnostic testing software.Willingness to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs outside of business hours.
