If you like to make things happen and are passionate about what you do, you’re going to want to be here.Join us and become part of the power behind possible.About The OpportunityThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance following corporate standards for quality and safety.Essential Job FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.Demonstrates commitment to quality and performs job duties in adherence to GMP guidelinesEnsures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements of all equipmentTroubleshoots any issues of mechanical devices, corrects issues as necessary to maintain productivity/quality standardsControls downtime by communicating with all departmentsAssists in the setup and tear down of production linesPerforms electrical repairsActively involved in Continuous Improvement programsDetermines changes in dimensional requirements of parts, fabricate parts when needed, adjusts functional parts of devices and control instrumentsMaintains equipment, parts and supplies inventories; conserves resources when ableInstructs less qualified personnelIdentifies proper preventative maintenance schedulesPrepares maintenance reports, documents and communicates actions, irregularities and continuing needsWorks in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, and complies with company safety policies and proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned by management/supervisorsEducation & ExperienceExperience with Automation Industrial Equipment; Belt Conveyors, Roller Conveyors, Carton Sealers.Basic Electrical Knowledge Low Voltage-120VACPreferred experience Hands-on Texwrap Plastic Sealer MachinePreferred experience Hands-on Videojet Ink CoderPreferred experience Hands-on Microjet-I and II Ink CodeCarton, High Speed packaging equipmentKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesSafety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe mannerAbility to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the businessAbility to effectively work in teamsAbility to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and peopleAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of rolesMust have basic math, reading, and communication skillsAbility to read, comprehend and, where necessary, complete: a blue print, an electrical schematic, operating and maintenance manuals, a work order, repair parts request, standard and metric tape measureMechanical and Electrical SkillsElectrical Knowledge High Voltage (208/480V 3 PH) a PlusAdapt to work under pressureAdapt to fast change overAbility to work OT when required is a MUSTAdapt to schedule changesMust be able to work weekends and extended hours when necessaryPLC Knowledge and troubleshooting skillsTechnically competent with reading electrical and mechanical drawingsPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentMust be able to stand, bend, stoop, walk for prolonged periodsMust be able to use hands, fingers, and arms in a continuous mannerMust be able to frequently lift 50-75 lbs.All Menasha Packaging employees must conduct their work in a manner that complies with all legal standards and meets customer expectations.
