Maintenance Welder - 3rd Shift

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description: Perform a wide variety of weldingfunctions related to maintenance/repair of equipment, machines,buildings, etc. Work from sketch, drawing or verbal instructions to layout work. Use a variety of tools and equipment as needed to fabricateand repair metal items. Fit up, clamp, track weld work. Select properequipment, parts and welder settings to perform welds to prescribedSpecifications. Assist In Pipefitting And Other Maintenance Functionsincluding mechanical repairs. Use of cutting equipment to cut materialsto desired size and shape. Participate in planning and laying outprojects. Coordinate materials, supplies, equipment and staff tocomplete projects efficiently. Work may include critical conformance tocodes including boiler, vacuum chamber, etc. Requirements: Strong shopmath and organizational skills. Strong knowledge of and experience withwelding, cutting and fabricating equipment and techniques. Experienceand/or education in industrial maintenance and excellent mechanicalaptitude. Ability to work from general instructions with littlesupervision. Ability to obtain and maintain required weldingcertifications including passing initial maintenance welding tests.Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Able to climb ladders, work at heightsand in awkward positions.
