The RoleReporting to a senior finance leader, the Management Accountant will play a key role in financial performance management across several operational sites. This hands-on, commercially focused role blends traditional accounting with analytics, insight and business partnering.Key responsibilities include:Leading month-end close activities including journals, allocations, accruals and balance sheet reviewsPreparing accurate and timely management reporting with meaningful commentaryConducting detailed variance analysis across cost centres, sites and operational KPIsSupporting annual budgeting and forecasting cyclesProviding financial insight to operational leaders, improving transparency around cost drivers and performanceAnalysing operational data to identify trends, risks and commercial opportunitiesAssisting with compliance, audit, internal controls and governance requirementsSupporting continuous improvement and system/process optimisationAbout YouYou are a proactive and commercially minded accountant who enjoys getting into the detail while also interpreting the bigger picture. You’re comfortable partnering with non-finance stakeholders and can translate financial information into clear, actionable insight. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy roles where your analysis influences real operational outcomes.You’ll bring: A degree in Accounting/Finance; CA/CPA (or working towards) is advantageousExperience in a management accounting or commercial finance role, ideally within a medium–large or multi-site organisationStrong month-end, reporting, budgeting and forecasting experienceHigh-level Excel capability and experience with ERP/reporting systemsStrong analytical capability and the ability to understand operational driversExcellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levelsA continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge the status quoOn OfferA high-impact role with exposure to operations, commercial decision making and leadershipOpportunity to work within a large, stable heavy-industry organisationSupportive finance team with strong mentorship and development pathwaysCompetitive salary package and long-term career progression
