We are looking to recruit an Audit Manager eager to develop deep expertise in fund and SPV audits and who thrives in a high-performing, international environment. The Audit Manager is responsible for managing and leading audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. We deliver practical solutions that address complex and rapidly evolving audit challenges, from digital and cyber-assets to multi-jurisdictional compliance.From our offices in Ireland, mainland Europe, Singapore, Netherlands and the Cayman Islands we work across all major jurisdictions, bringing our clients the benefit of hands-on, senior-led service and consistency across accounting cycles.About the roleAs Audit Manager, Valaston, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting high-quality audit engagements from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:• Leading audit engagements, including planning, analysis of controls and processes, preparation and review of audit documentation, letters and reports• Project managing assigned audit engagements throughout the process ensuring client deliverables are met• Actively working alongside international audit colleagues based in Cayman Islands, Singapore and Netherlands to ensure consistent service delivery across offices• Managing client billing and ensuring adherence to budget timelines• Supervising, training and mentoring junior staff, assisting with their professional development and creating career advancement opportunities• Due to our expanding global client base, opportunities for international travel may also be availableAbout you• A degree in accountancy or relevant field and professional qualifications such as ACA or ACCA• External audit experience of 5 years+ in a mid-tier or large accounting firm• Specialised in the audit of financial institutions like banks, insurers, pension funds, asset managers.• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulation (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP)• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• Effective communication skills coupled with strong business acumen• A team player with strong project management and time management skills• Accuracy and accountability for completion of work to the highest standards of technical competence is a pre-requisite of this roleWhy ValastonIn addition to a challenging job with development opportunities, you will have considerable freedom and independence in carrying out your work.
