Purpose of JobThis role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Business Processing team, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of business support services. As the team lead, you will play a key role in managing account-related processes such as billing and client account data maintenance. The position focuses on driving operational excellence by ensuring accurate and up-to-date records, streamlining workflows, and supporting the broader operational functions of the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise the Business Processing team to ensure compliance with internal billing protocols, maintaining accuracy and timely delivery of invoices to clients.Manage the end-to-end invoicing process, from receiving billing details from insurers to issuing invoices and facilitating payment collection from clients.Review and enhance operational workflows to align with evolving billing procedures and business needs.Identify and implement process enhancements to increase operational efficiency and data accuracy.Handle escalations related to billing issues, including policy suspensions or cancellations due to delayed payments or invoicing discrepancies.Act as a key role in credit control activities, ensuring timely payment collection from Employee Benefits and General Insurance clients.Review and support the internal finance team on premium and fee collection.Participate in internal and external credit control meetings to resolve payment-related concerns.Assist brokers in onboarding new clients, ensuring all legal and contractual documentation is completed prior to initiating the billing process.ExperiencePreferable with working experience in billings and operations or a similar field.ComplianceEnsure compliance with all applicable Company and/or Group policies and procedures.Maintain accurate records and deal with correspondence appropriately.Representing the CompanyPerform any other reasonable duties as required.Knowledge and ExperienceDiploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related disciplines.Minimum 5 years of working experience within the insurance industry in relevant field.Proven experience in supervising or leading a team within an operational or billing function. Preferably with experience in insurance broking firm.Professional insurance qualification is preferred, along with relevant knowledge of insurance principles, and practices.Proficiency in computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.Attention to detail and compliance-oriented mindset.Proactive problem-solving skills.
